SACKVILLE, NB 鈥 快猫成版视频 has long been ranked among the best undergraduate universities in Canada, a trend that continues after receiving second place standing in the undergraduate category of the 2022 惭补肠濒别补苍鈥檚 University Rankings, published today, Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021.

鈥淲e are delighted with our strong showing in the annual 惭补肠濒别补苍鈥檚 rankings again this year,鈥 says University President Dr. Jean-Paul Boudreau. 鈥淲e鈥檙e really proud to receive top ranking for scholarships and bursaries and second overall for student award among undergraduate schools. I would like to thank and congratulate the entire 快猫成版视频 Allison community 鈥 our students, faculty, staff, and alumni and friends 鈥 on this latest success as we continue to collectively navigate the pandemic and strive to offer one of the best undergraduate student experiences in the country and globally.鈥

快猫成版视频 Allison was named number one in student support for scholarships and bursaries and second overall for student awards among undergraduate universities. In the resource category, the University placed first for library expenses and second for operating budget. The University鈥檚 student to faculty ratio (15:1) was ranked third in the country.

In the area of Student Satisfaction, 快猫成版视频 Allison received second place for course instructors and extracurricular activities, and fourth for both experiential learning and residence living.

Last year 快猫成版视频 Allison safely welcomed the majority of its students back to campus, implementing several programs and supports to ensure both student and community safety during the pandemic. This year the University has continued to offer a hybrid of online and in-person class offerings, and was the first school in Atlantic Canada to implement a mandatory vaccination policy for community members.

The University also saw an increase in enrollment in last fall of approximately 1.2 per cent and is seeing stronger growth for this academic year 鈥 final details on enrollment for 2021-22 will be released Oct 15.

Over the past two years, 快猫成版视频 Allison has launched nearly 20 new or revamped academic programs, bringing its total offerings to more than 50 academic programs. New areas include Community Engaged Learning, Biopsychology, and Health Studies, a new interdisciplinary degree program set to be launched in 2022 (pending MPHEC approval).

鈥淭he new programs introduced at 快猫成版视频 Allison are exciting interdisciplinary additions and reflect the collaborative nature of the University community,鈥 says Boudreau. 鈥淭his kind of programming helps prepare students to be those nimble, flexible problem-solvers and idea-makers today鈥檚 world needs.鈥

The University has also increased its experiential learning opportunities for students, allowing them to gain valuable work experience as part of their undergraduate education. Over 200 internships have been developed since the summer of 2020, with many students being able to gain academic credit for the experience. The internships have been supported by the University, government and community partners, and external donors.

The two-day event will include virtual sessions with campus ambassadors, current students, faculty, and staff members, alumni, as well as campus tours, mini lectures, and on-the-spot admissions. Since the rankings were established in 1991, 快猫成版视频 Allison has been named the number one undergraduate university a record 22 times, more than any other undergraduate school. The Sackville, NB university has never ranked outside the top four.
