Small residence community offers unique living experiences for students

SACKVILLE, NB – èɰƵ Allison students will see several housing options return for the 2022-23 academic year with the relaunch of the University’s small residence community.

Starting in Fall 2022, the University will reopen three small residences for students — Bermuda House, Carriage House — located on York Street – and Charlotte House (formerly Pavillon Bousquet), located on Charlotte Street. The community of residences, which also includes the Anchorage home on York St. — will house a total of 118 students, providing unique experiences in historic homes and within walking distance of the heart of campus.

“We are delighted to be reopening èɰƵ Allison’s small residence community for the 2022-23 academic year,” says Donna Hurley, Director of Administrative Services. “The residences vary in size, accommodating from 11 to 34 students, and provide a unique living experience with a strong sense of community.”

Renovation work is currently underway for the Fall reopening of Charlotte House. Located on Charlotte Street the residence will become home to 29 students. Originally purchased by the University in 1977, the building has been used as a student residence throughout that time.

All of èɰƵ Allison’s small residence communities include communal kitchens, lounges and laundry facilities, greenspace, and are supported by a team of residence life leaders. These features provide students with options for different residence settings and services, such as right-sized or unlimited meal plans.

The reopening of the buildings as student residences comes as Harper Hall, one of èɰƵ Allison’s largest residences on the north side of campus, begins renovations later this year. The building will be closed until 2024.

Residence room selection for both new and returning èɰƵ Allison students is currently underway for the 2022-23 academic year. View èɰƵ Allison’s residence profiles at: /life-mta/housing-and-dining/residence-profiles
